Methodology
How we rank
CloudTweaks is a human-curated reference. Our rankings are editorial and cannot be purchased. Here’s exactly how it works.
How companies get listed
Not every tool is included, and inclusion is not for sale. We list established products our readers are likely to be choosing between; new or unproven tools generally are not listed yet. Every listing has to clear the same bar:
- A real, operating product. Something a buyer can sign up for or deploy today. Announced products, waitlists, and wound-down tools are not listed.
- Public product pages. The product must be evaluable from the vendor’s own site without a sales call. Quote-only pricing is fine; we record it as quote-based rather than inventing a number.
- A category it genuinely fits. Each company is listed in an existing category and described on the same attributes as its peers, so listings stay comparable side by side.
- Vendor-sourced facts. Facts come from the vendor’s own published materials. Where a price or capability can’t be confirmed, we store an honest absence rather than a guess, and certifications appear only as the vendor claims them.
- No padded categories. A category goes live only with at least five credible entrants, and we decline categories that can’t be honestly filled.
- Free to be listed. Inclusion and ranking cannot be bought. If we sell sponsored placement, it is separate and always labelled (see below).
- Open to correction. Renames are tracked, discontinued products are removed, and anyone, including the vendor, can report an error via the contact page.
Ranking is by a stated criterion
Within each scenario, tools are ordered by the single criterion named on that list — starting price, token price, breadth of compliance certifications, region coverage, and so on. The criterion is shown on every list so you can see the basis for the order. Rank position cannot be bought, boosted, or influenced by payment.
Facts are verified and dated
Each listing shows when its facts were last checked. We correct errors when we find them or when you report them.
Listings across the Index were last reviewed in August 2026.
Sponsored placement is separate — and always labelled
If we sell advertising or sponsored placement, paid slots will always be clearly marked “Sponsored” or “Ad,” visually distinct from rankings, and never numbered or presented as ranked results. Buying a sponsored placement will not affect any ranking, and it will not earn a tool inclusion in the ranked Index if it doesn’t meet our editorial bar. Rankings and paid placement are kept as two separate systems, on purpose.
